LAMPS AND LIGHTS

All these pieces play with light in some way. The pendant on the left is a hand-thrown and carved lamp; the pieces below are Meditation Bowls, designed for contemplation while a flame dances over abstract glazework.

The Temple of Reason was inspired by experiences trekking in Nepal and ponders our reverence for Reason.

Below left is an oil lamp approx 2' high, thrown, carved and altered. This piece throws dancing butterflies of shadow as the flame flickers.

Below right is a sea-glass lantern, approx 2' high. The piece is handbuilt clay, electric lighting, glass and tumbled sea-glass from household glass.
